Heurin helps you remember and nurture your relationships. We collect data to make this possible, but we will never sell your personal information to third parties.

Your Contacts

  • Names, phone numbers, emails, and other details from your device contacts
  • Information about your relationships with these contacts
  • Notes, interactions, and context you add about people in your network

Enriched Data

  • We may supplement your contacts with information from third-party data sources, such as professional details, company information, and publicly available data
  • Enriched data is provided for convenience and may not be accurate or current

Sensitive Information

  • Personal details about your relationships that you choose to share
  • Voice recordings and transcriptions of your notes (voice data is transmitted to third-party AI providers for transcription)
  • Photos and documents you attach to contacts (photos may be transmitted to third-party AI providers for analysis)

Usage Data

  • How you interact with the app
  • Features you use and how often
  • Search queries and patterns

Diagnostic Data

  • Crash reports and performance data
  • Device information and operating system details
  • Error logs and technical diagnostics

How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

  1. App Functionality - Store, organize, and recall your relationship information
  2. AI Processing - Your data (including contacts, notes, and queries) is transmitted to third-party AI service providers to power features such as search, suggestions, and conversational assistance. Our third-party AI providers do not use your data to train their models. Heurin may use your data to train, fine-tune, and improve its own AI features
  3. Data Enrichment - Supplement your contacts with information from third-party sources
  4. Product Improvement - Analyze usage patterns to improve the product
  5. Anonymized Analytics and Marketing - We create anonymized and aggregated data (which cannot identify you or any individual) for analytics, research, and marketing purposes (e.g., publishing aggregate statistics about how the service is used)
  6. Communications - Send you updates about features and improvements (you can opt out)

Data Linking and Tracking

Your data is linked to your identity within Heurin. We use tracking technologies to understand app usage patterns and improve your experience.

Data Sharing

We do NOT sell your data. Period.

We may share data with:

  • AI Service Providers - To power AI features (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI for language models; Cohere for search embeddings). These providers process your data to deliver features and do not use it for their own model training
  • Infrastructure Providers - Cloud storage, database hosting, and other service providers who help us operate Heurin
  • Data Enrichment Providers - Third-party sources that supplement your contact information
  • Law Enforcement - As required by valid legal process (see Data Security section)

Third-Party Services: We use third-party service providers to facilitate our service. While we carefully select our partners, we are not responsible for their privacy practices or security measures. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you request deletion of your data, we will delete it within a reasonable timeframe, though we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, resolving disputes).

Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable security measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) for all data transmitted between your device and our servers

The Service is not end-to-end encrypted. Heurin can access your data as necessary to provide the Service, including for AI processing, data enrichment, and customer support.

Important: While we strive to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. By using Heurin, you acknowledge and accept that:

  • Data breaches may occur despite our best efforts
  • We are not liable for unauthorized access to your data resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control
  • You use the service at your own risk
